Birmingham Tuesday Social Netball - week 7

Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball League

Week 7 of the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball League took place at Waseley Hills High School, with all the teams back on court for another evening of social netball. There were some close games throughout the evening, along with plenty of good team play and effort from everyone involved.

The first game of the evening saw Goals Aloud take on Spice Goals. Goals Aloud started strongly and continued to build their lead as the game progressed, finishing with a 28-11 win. Both teams worked hard throughout the match and continued to compete right through to the final whistle.

Goals of Glory and Goal Diggers followed with one of the closest games of the evening. The two teams were separated by just one goal at the final whistle, with Goals of Glory taking a narrow 16-15 victory. It was a competitive game, with both sides working hard in attack and defence and keeping the score close throughout.

Next up were Waseley Wizards and Hoop Troops. Waseley Wizards put together a strong performance and finished the game with an 11-5 win. Hoop Troops continued to work hard throughout the match, with both teams showing good effort and commitment on court.

The final game of the evening saw Stormers face Pocket Rockets. Pocket Rockets had a strong game and finished with a 20-6 victory. Stormers continued to battle throughout the game, while Pocket Rockets were able to create opportunities and convert them into goals.

A special mention goes to Anna McDonald from Hoop Troops, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Anna was recognised for her performance, movement around the court and contribution to her team during the game.

With Week 7 now complete, the teams can look ahead to the next round of fixtures. The league continues to provide an opportunity for players to get on court each week, enjoy playing netball and meet other players in a friendly and social environment.

Well done to all the teams who took part this week, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at Waseley Hills High School for Week 8.
