Birmingham Tuesday Netball League - Week 16

An enjoyable evening of camaraderie and the enjoyment of sport unfolded at Waseley Hills High School this week. It was the heartening Week 16 of the social netball season, where players of all experience levels gathered to partake in a delightfully welcoming atmosphere. The joy and dedication exhibited by all players were palpable, showcasing that everyone can find their place and time to shine in the world of netball.

The first match of the evening welcomed the Pocket Rockets and Waseley Wizards on the court. With a final score of 31-3 favoring the Pocket Rockets, the game was filled with teamwork, commitment, and tons of positive energy. Each team's players displayed commendable sportsmanship, clearly demonstrating the spirit of the game.

Following this, we watched the Hoop Troops share the court with the Spice Goals. The game ended with a score of 27-2 in favor of the Spice Goals. This game was an enjoyable spectacle of supportive teamwork and dedication, with both teams showcasing their love for the sport.

The Netbusters and Stormers also took the court, with the Netbusters finishing the game with a score of 20-7. This game was awash with positivity, infectious enthusiasm, and great spirit.

The Goals of Glory and Goal Diggers wrapped up the evening with a lively match. The Goals of Glory ended the game on a high note with a score of 18-12. The teams brought a fantastic energy to the court, reminding us all about the joy of social netball.

A special mention must be made of Sarah Greenaway from the Waseley Wizards, our Most Valued Player of the week. Sarah’s enthusiasm and movement around the court were a sight to behold. Her positive contribution was not only appreciated by her teammates but also acknowledged by her gracious opponents.

As we look ahead to Week 17, we can't wait for another wonderful evening of friendly social netball. With only two weeks of matches left, we encourage anyone thinking about joining to come along and try social netball. It's a fantastic way to stay active, meet new people, and develop your netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment. So, here's to another week of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and the true spirit of netball.
