Play in the Swadlincote Wednesday You Play Netball league

As the autumn leaves fell gently outside, The Pingle Academy was buzzing with excitement and camaraderie last week, celebrating the ninth week of the social netball season. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable, as players of all experience levels, from novices to seasoned veterans, came together for another enjoyable evening of netball.

The first match of the evening saw Block And Shot coming together with Pink Stars. Both teams demonstrated incredible teamwork and commitment throughout the game. The Pink Stars wrapped up the game with a score of 16-14, but the real victory of the night was the positive energy and sportsmanship on display from both teams.

The Wildcats and Get The Rebound took to the court for the next game. Despite the Wildcats' spirited performance, Get The Rebound ended the game with a tally of 18-8. Both teams, however, exhibited commendable camaraderie and resilience, proving once again that it's not just about the score, but about the love of the game and the spirit of team play.

The final match of the evening was between Nets Go and Hoops I Did It Again. With a final score of 6-2 in favour of Hoops I Did It Again, each and every player on the court contributed to a memorable game, characterised by high spirits and mutual respect.

A special mention must be made of the Most Valued Player of the week, Annabel Morris from Block And Shot. Her enthusiasm and relentless energy around the court were truly inspiring, contributing positively to her team and the overall spirit of the evening. Her movement, both on and off the ball, didn't go unnoticed by teammates and opponents alike.

Whether you're there to keep active, develop your netball skills, or simply meet new people, the friendly atmosphere of our social netball evenings provides the perfect setting.
