Play in the Swadlincote Wednesday You Play Netball league

The Pingle Academy was abuzz with excitement as Week 5 of the social netball season kicked off. The venue was filled with a welcoming atmosphere, with players of all experience levels sporting bright smiles and high spirits, embracing yet another delightful evening of netball.

The first match saw Wildcats engage in a friendly match with Nets Go. Wildcats ended the evening with a 13-6 final tally. Despite the score difference, both teams demonstrated exceptional teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship. The positive energy that radiated from the court was palpable to all present, making it an enjoyable game played in a tremendous spirit.

In the second match, Pink Stars and Hoops I Did It Again took to the court. With Pink Stars recording a score of 19-4, their camaraderie and unity were commendable. Hoops I Did It Again, although trailing behind, showed great resilience, maintaining a positive attitude throughout. Both teams left the court with a sense of satisfaction and a lot of laughter shared.

The third match featured Get The Rebound and Block And Shot, with the latter finishing the game with a score of 16-11. The commitment displayed by both teams was highly admirable. Every goal was met with applause, demonstrating the supportive environment that is the essence of social netball.

A special mention for the Most Valued Player of the week, Jenni Wileman from Get The Rebound. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court did not go unnoticed. Her positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, setting an example of true sportsmanship in play.

With Week 5 coming to a close, we look forward to Week 6 with anticipation. The upcoming evening promises another opportunity for everyone to stay active, meet new people, and further develop their netball skills in our supportive environment. As we continue our Back to Netball journey, we celebrate not only our love for the sport but also the friendships and camaraderie that make every game special.
