The Pingle Academy resonated with positive energy and community spirit last Wednesday for an evening of social netball, marking the third week of the season. Players, ranging from novices to seasoned netballers, came together to enjoy a wonderful night of sport, friendship, and camaraderie.
The first encounter of the evening was between Nets Go and Block And Shot. The game ended with Block and Shot posting a score of 11 while Nets Go finished with 7. The game was a delightful demonstration of teamwork and commitment from both sides, as players passed the ball with precision and moved around the court seamlessly. It was a game played in high spirit, brimming with positive energy.
The next match pitted Get The Rebound against Pink Stars. Both teams showed impressive sportsmanship and camaraderie as the game ended in a friendly draw, with each team scoring 17 points. The game was not just about scoring, but also about building relationships, developing skills, and having fun. The teams showed that every pass and every shot counts, reinforcing the essence of netball - teamwork.
A special mention goes to Sian Smith from Nets Go who was recognised as the Most Valued Player of the week. Sian's energy, movement around the court, and positive contribution were appreciated by both her teammates and opponents. Her enthusiasm was infectious, lighting up the court and boosting the morale of all the players.
Looking ahead to Week 4, we're excited to continue this journey of friendly social netball. This is more than just a game, it's about staying active, meeting new people, and honing our netball skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. We encourage everyone to join us next week for another enjoyable evening at The Pingle Academy. After all, it's not just about the score, it's about the love of the game and the community it creates.
