Last Wednesday, The Pingle Academy was abuzz with the sounds of laughter, cheers, and the rhythmic patter of running shoes as week 8 of social netball season took place. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable as players of all experience levels came together to enjoy a delightful night of netball, embracing the spirit of the game with enthusiasm and camaraderie.
In the first match of the evening, Hoopsie Daisy and Block And Shot took to the court for an amiable game. Hoopsie Daisy finished the game with a 13-12 score, but it was the commitment, sportsmanship, and positive energy exhibited by both teams that truly stole the show. Teamwork was at the heart of their strategies, making it a joy to watch and an even better game to play.
Next on the court were Nets Go and Hoops I Did It Again. With a final score of 14-7 in favor of Hoops I Did It Again, there was never a moment without action. The camaraderie and sportsmanship between the teams was inspiring, creating an atmosphere that was as entertaining as the game itself.
The third match saw Pink Stars and Get The Rebound. Despite the 22-4 score in favor of Get The Rebound, Pink Stars showed an exceptional commitment to the game. Their spirit and positive attitude shone bright, reminding everyone present of the true essence of social netball.
A special mention goes to Sian Smith from Nets Go, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Sian's enthusiasm and swiftness around the court were indeed impressive, but it was her positive contribution and sportsmanship that won over both her teammates and opponents.
As we look ahead to Week 9, we're excited for another evening of friendly social netball. Whether you're there to keep active, meet new people, or develop your netball skills in a supportive environment, everyone is welcome. Here's to another week of the beautiful game, played with kindness, respect, and most importantly, a sense of fun!
