Week 6 of the Swadlincote Wednesday Netball League saw another enjoyable evening of action at The Pingle Academy, with teams continuing to compete in a positive and welcoming environment.
The evening began with Block And Shot taking on Get The Rebound in a competitive fixture. Both teams demonstrated strong teamwork and commitment throughout the match, creating an entertaining contest and setting the tone for the night's action.
Wildcats then faced Hoops I Did It Again in the second game of the evening. Both sides worked hard across the court, displaying determination and good organisation throughout an enjoyable encounter. The match reflected the friendly and supportive atmosphere that continues to define the league.
The final fixture of the evening saw Pink Stars take on Nets Go. Both teams approached the game with enthusiasm and energy, contributing to a closely contested match. The effort and sportsmanship shown by all players helped bring another successful evening of netball to a close.
This week's Most Valued Player award goes to Lily Draper from Block And Shot. Lily delivered an excellent performance, demonstrating great movement, energy, and commitment throughout the evening. Her contribution was recognised by teammates and opponents alike, making her a deserving recipient of the award.
With Week 6 complete, teams will now look ahead to the next round of fixtures as the season continues. The league remains a fantastic opportunity for players to stay active, improve their skills, and enjoy competitive netball in a welcoming and supportive environment.
