The pulse of the region's netball scene, the Swadlincote Wednesday Netball League, came alive in its fifth week, with the Premier League teams delivering electrifying performances that had fans at the edge of their seats.

In the heart of the action-packed evening, the Premier League division saw something of an upset when Pink Stars fell to Block And Shot, 10-6. Despite the fierce competition, Pink Stars didn't manage to secure the victory, getting taken down by the sterling Block And Shot squad.

However, the night truly belonged to the team Hoops I Did It Again who decimated the Wildcats with a staggering 26-8 victory. Their exceptional performance was a masterclass in team synergy and tactical netball, which left the Wildcats trailing in their wake.

That's not to discount the thrilling match between Nets Go and Get The Rebound, where Nets Go fell short, scoring 3 against Get The Rebound’s impressive 16. The spectators were treated to a high-energy display of skill and strategy by both teams.

The crowning glory of the evening went to none other than Megan Demetriadi, the star player from Hoops I Did It Again. Her spectacular performance earned her the title of the Most Valued Player of the week. Megan's agility, precision, and admirable teamwork was the highlight of the week and a testament to the high caliber of play in the League.

With only a few weeks left in the season, the competition is heating up. The teams are leaving no stone unturned as they battle it out for the championship.
