Swadlincote’s netball community was back in action this week as teams returned to the court for another exciting evening in the You Play Netball Wednesday league. The atmosphere was full of energy, teamwork, and plenty of great moments across the matches.

“Hoops I Did It Again” impressed with a confident and well-organised performance, showing fantastic teamwork, sharp passing, and strong defensive play throughout the game. “Nets Go” battled hard and showed great determination from start to finish.

“Get The Rebound” also put in a strong display with fast-paced play and excellent movement around the court. “Pink Stars” matched the intensity with plenty of effort and spirit, making for an entertaining contest enjoyed by everyone watching.

A special mention goes to Clare Wyss from “Block And Shot”, whose outstanding all-round performance earned her Most Valued Player of the week. Clare’s energy, accuracy, and leadership on court stood out and played a huge role for her team.

With only a couple of weeks played, the league is already showcasing the fantastic talent, sportsmanship, and friendly competition that makes netball in Swadlincote so enjoyable. Teams are continuing to grow in confidence each week, and there’s plenty more exciting action still to come.
