Play in the Worcester Sunday You Play Netball League

As the sun set on The King’s School, Week 10 of our social netball season came to life. The welcoming atmosphere buzzed with a mix of excitement and camaraderie as players of all experience levels gathered for another memorable evening of netball.

The first match saw Spice Goals and Toxic Goals take to the court. With a final score of 17-6 in favour of Toxic Goals, both teams displayed an impressive level of teamwork and commitment. The positive energy was palpable, and the match was played in great spirit, a testament to the friendly nature of our social netball community.

Next up, Seven Wonders squared off against On The Attack in an equally energetic match. Seven Wonders finished the game with a score of 14-7, however, the score only tells a fraction of the story. The game was filled with sportsmanship, laughter and great netballing skill, making it a true joy to watch.

The final match of the evening brought together Rebounders and Cobras in an exciting game. Rebounders emerged with a score of 11-7 and both teams showed a remarkable level of sportsmanship and teamwork, underlining the ethos of our club.

A special mention goes to our Most Valued Player of the week, Laura Salmon from the Cobras. Her enthusiasm and agility around the court were second to none. Laura’s positive contribution on and off the court was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike. Her generosity of spirit epitomises the true essence of our social netball community.

As we look forward to Week 11, we anticipate another enjoyable evening of friendly social netball. It’s not just about keeping active and developing netball skills, it’s also about the friendships formed and the supportive environment that defines our club.

As the final week of the season, we want to thank everyone who took part. Special recognition goes to the teams leading the Division 1 group this season, including Toxic Goals. May we continue to foster a love for the game, always remembering it's not about winning, but about participating, learning, and most importantly, having fun.
