Play in the Worcester Sunday You Play Netball League

With the setting sun casting an amber glow over The King's School, the warm camaraderie of the players stood in stark contrast to the autumn chill. As Week 5 of the Social Netball season commenced, a diverse collective of individuals, all at different points in their netball journey, came together for an evening of friendly competition and mutual encouragement.

The first match saw On The Attack and Toxic Goals facing off. Both teams showcased remarkable teamwork and commitment throughout the game. Their sportsmanship was, without a doubt, the highlight of the evening. On The Attack brought a tenacious spirit to the court, finishing the game with a score of 9. Meanwhile, Toxic Goals, fuelled by a positive energy that was infectious, ended with a score of 14. Although the numbers on the scoreboard differed, what was evident in abundance was the sheer enjoyment each player had in participating, and the mutual respect they held for their opponents.

Of special note for her outstanding contribution was Amy Carter from On The Attack. Her enthusiasm sparked the game, her intuitive movement around the court was a delight to watch, and her positive demeanor earned her the title of Most Valued Player of the week. Amy's performance was a testament to the spirit of social netball, appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

As we continue our journey through the season, the anticipation for Week 6 is palpable. We look forward to another evening of friendly social netball where players will have the chance to keep active, meet new people, and further develop their netball skills in a supportive environment. The emphasis, as always, will be on enjoying the game, fostering new friendships, and celebrating the sense of community that social netball brings.
