Last Sunday evening, The King's School was alive with the hustle and bustle of week 3 of our social netball season. The welcoming atmosphere was electrifying, accentuated by players of all experience levels passionately enjoying a night of netball under the comforting glow of floodlights. It was an evening that truly embodied our philosophy of friendship, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
The first match between Spice Goals and Cobras was a treat for all. Displaying an incredible show of teamwork and positivity, both teams played with unmatched energy. Cobras concluded with a score of 9-2. Even though the night was chilly, the spirit and enthusiasm on the court warmed us all.
The game between Seven Wonders and Toxic Goals was nothing short of exciting. The scoreline mirrored the commitment of both teams: 10 for Seven Wonders and 12 for Toxic Goals. Each pass, each dash, and each shot was a testament to the enjoyment that social netball brings.
The match between Rebounders and On The Attack was another spectacle. Both teams moved around the court with a grace that was delightful to witness. On The Attack finished the game with a score of 14-10. This game, like the others, was played in high spirits and was a genuine display of sportsmanship.
Our most valued player of the week, Kate Moore, from Rebounders, deserves a special mention. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court were nothing short of exceptional, earning appreciation not just from her teammates but opponents alike. Her positive contribution served as a reminder of why we play and love this game.
As we look forward to another enjoyable evening in Week 4, we celebrate this journey of staying active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment. Our Back to Netball ethos will continue to guide us, keeping competition friendly and putting the emphasis on enjoyment, participation, and sportsmanship. Here's to another week of exciting netball under the stars.
