Worcester Sunday Netball Update 18th January

The city of Worcester was buzzing with anticipation as week 10, the last round of the Worcester Sunday Netball season took place. The teams clashed for the final time this season in a night filled with breath-taking manoeuvres, high-stakes drama, and extraordinary sportsmanship.

Cobras locked horns with Spice Goals in an intense match that saw Spice Goals emerging victoriously with a score of 9-6. However, the hero of the night from this fixture was undeniably Laura Salmon from Cobras. Her stellar performance earned her the title of the Most Valued Player of the week, a fitting accolade for a player who has consistently proven her mettle on the court.

Elsewhere, Toxic Goals took on Rebounders in a 19-1 victory, demonstrating their dominance in the division. Also a nail-biting match ensued between Court Rebels and On The Attack, who claimed a narrow 6-5 victory.

Despite the fierce competition, it was Team Toxic Goals that ultimately rose to the top, securing the win for the season with an impressive 16 points and 8 wins. Undoubtedly, their astonishing performance this season will be remembered for years to come.

As curtains fall on this thrilling season, the tenacity, skill, and unyielding spirit of all the teams are to be applauded. Their performances have not only elevated the quality of the league but also contributed to the growth of netball in Worcester.
