Last Wednesday, the local community of Pershore was treated to a vivacious evening of social netball at Pershore High School. The second week of the season brought with it a delightful atmosphere brimming with friendly competition, laughter and camaraderie. Players of all skill levels came together, exhibiting their love for the sport, and creating an enchanting evening of pure netball magic.
The first match saw the Pivoting Diva's match skills with Pershore Pic N Mix. The teams displayed an impressive level of teamwork and commitment, making it an exciting game to watch. The final whistle blew with the scoreboard reading 20-18 in favour of Pershore Pic N Mix. The game was played in a fantastic spirit with both teams showcasing their positive energy and sportsmanship.
The second game witnessed the Hooper's face off against the Pocket Rockets. The match was filled with countless fun moments, and numerous excellent plays from both sides. Hooper's finished the game with a score of 21-9. Despite the score, the Pocket Rockets remained high spirited throughout, displaying true sportsmanship and unity.
This week’s Most Valued Player was Lily Cornelius from Pivoting Diva's. Lily’s movement around the court and her infectious enthusiasm were appreciated by both teammates and opponents alike. Her positive contribution to the game did not go unnoticed and she was rightfully recognised for her efforts.
As we look forward to Week 3, we eagerly anticipate yet another evening of friendly social netball. These sessions are not just about improving our netball skills but also about keeping active, socializing, and fostering a sense of community.
