The evening was warmly lit by the buzz of camaraderie and team spirit on the netball courts of Pershore High School. As Week 1 of the new social netball season kicked off, players of all experience levels joyfully celebrated their return to netball. The atmosphere was brimming with positive energy, an exciting sense of anticipation, and the friendly but fiery spirit of competition.
The first match of the evening saw the Pocket Rockets and Killer Queens take to the court. After a game well-played and full of vibrant energy, Killer Queens came out ahead, finishing with a score of 18-15. Both teams showcased outstanding teamwork and commitment throughout the match, with every pass, every shot, and every cheer echoing the positive spirit in which the game was played.
Pivoting Diva's and Pershore Pic N Mix also displayed excellent sportsmanship, making it a memorable match. Pershore Pic N Mix wrapped up the match with an 18-11 victory, but the highlight of the evening was the mutual respect, energetic enthusiasm, and great spirit that both teams displayed.
A special nod to the Most Valued Player of the week, Jess Lee from Hooper's. Jess's enthusiasm for the game was infectious, her movement around the court admirable, and her positive contribution to the game was applauded by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look forward to Week 2, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. It's not just about the game; it's about keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether you're an old hand or just getting back into netball, Pershore's social netball evenings are an opportunity to enjoy the sport we all love. Let the season of fun, fitness, and friendship continue!
