Pershore Wednesday Netball Update 8th April

The opening week of the Pershore Wednesday netball brought a great start to the season, with teams taking to the court with enthusiasm and plenty of team spirit.

In the first match of the evening, Pocket Rockets met Divas in a lively contest. While the Rockets worked hard throughout, Divas found their rhythm early on and came away with an 18–6 win. Their smooth passing, organised defence, and confident shooting made for an encouraging start to their campaign.

Pershore Pic N Mix and Killer Queens followed with a closely fought game that kept everyone watching right to the final whistle. Pershore Pic N Mix edged ahead to take an 8–6 victory, but both teams showed great determination, skill, and sportsmanship in a match that could easily have gone either way.

A standout performance on the night came from Amie Marks of Hooper’s, who was named Most Valued Player for the week. Her energy on court and sharp movement made a real impact and helped set the tone for her team.

With the first week now complete, the season is already shaping up to be competitive and full of promise. Divas and Pershore Pic N Mix have made a strong start, but with plenty of netball still to come, all teams will be looking forward to building momentum in the weeks ahead.
