Another great evening of netball took place in the Pershore Wednesday netball, with teams delivering a fun and competitive second week of the season.
The closest game of the night came first from Pocket Rockets and Pivots, who treated everyone to a high-scoring and engaging match. Pivots edged the result 22–18, but both teams showed great determination and attacking intent from start to finish.
Diva’s got off to a strong start with a confident 24–8 win over Killer Queens, showing some sharp attacking play and great teamwork throughout the match.
Hooper’s and Pershore Pic N Mix followed with an entertaining and well-matched contest. Both teams put in strong performances, with Pershore Pic N Mix just coming out on top 20–14 in a game full of positive play and good energy.
A special mention goes to Pocket Rockets’ Michelle Hubball, whose excellent all-round performance earned her this week’s Most Valued Player award. Her energy, movement, and influence on the game really stood out.
With week 3 just around the corner, it’s fantastic to see teams settling into the season and building momentum. If this week is anything to go by, there’s plenty more enjoyable and competitive netball to come!
