Week 8 of the Pershore Wednesday Netball brought another evening of competitive matches and fun.
The first match saw Pershore Pic N Mix take on the Pivots. Both teams started strongly, but the Pivots edged away to secure a 23–18 win. Their organised play and consistent scoring helped them take control of the game.
Next up were the Pocket Rockets and Killer Queens. The Pocket Rockets gradually built momentum and were able to break through the Killer Queens defence to secure a 17–11 win.
The final game of the evening featured the Hooper’s against the Divas. Despite a strong performance from the Hooper’s, the Diva's secured the win, finishing 29–17.
A standout performance this week came from Rachel Higgens, Killer Queens, whose strong contribution on court earned her the title of Most Valued Player. Her performance was a highlight of the evening and a great example of the skill on display across the night.
As the Pershore Wednesday netball moves into the final two weeks of the season, teams will be looking to build on their performances and continue the competitive spirit seen so far.
