Last Wednesday evening, Pershore High School transformed into a hub of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and an absolute celebration of netball. Week 2 of the social netball season was in full swing, and the atmosphere was buzzing with a warm, welcoming vibe. The evening saw players of all experience levels come together for a fantastic night of fun, friendly competition and the love of the game.
The first match of the evening saw the Pocket Rockets share the court with Hooper's. It was a spectacle of teamwork, commitment and positive energy. The game resulted in a scoreline of Hooper's 15, Pocket Rockets 11, but the score was by far secondary to the enjoyment of the game, played in the true spirit of Back to Netball.
Next up, Pershore Pic N Mix took on the Killer Queens in a display of sportsmanship and skill that delighted spectators. The game ended with Pershore Pic N Mix registering a score of 15 and Killer Queens 9. The highlight of this match was the unwavering commitment and energy from both sides.
A special mention goes to this week's Most Valued Player - the effervescent Winnie Smith from Pocket Rockets. Her enthusiasm, sensitivity to her teammates' movement and her overall contribution to the game were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike. Her positive energy was a joy to behold!
Looking ahead to Week 3, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly, social netball. It's not just about keeping active and playing the game, but also about meeting new people and developing netball skills in a supportive, encouraging environment. So whether you're a seasoned player or picking up a netball for the first time, we look forward to seeing you next week for another exciting evening of sportsmanship and fun. Remember, at Back to Netball, every pass counts, and every player matters.
