The ninth week of the season brought with it another delightful evening of social netball to Oakengates Leisure Centre. The atmosphere was thriving with positivity, as players of all experience levels gathered to enjoy a splendid night of netball. The welcoming ambience echoed throughout the centre, as it once again proved to be a hub of camaraderie, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The first match was a closely contested game between Just Wing It and Wrekin Warriors. It certainly was a nail-biter, with Just Wing It finishing the game with a score of 13-12. Both teams showcased a wonderful mix of teamwork, commitment, and positive energy, making it a truly enjoyable game that was played in great spirit.

Next up was the game between Nets Get Physical and Swift Shooters, which ended with Nets Get Physical scoring 26 points to Swift Shooters’ 2. Despite the score difference, the match was filled with moments of kindness, mutual respect, and an infectious enthusiasm that reverberated across the court.

A special mention goes out to Shannon Beck of Swift Shooters, who was named Most Valued Player this week. Shannon’s enthusiasm, constant movement around the court, and positive contribution did not go unnoticed, being appreciated not only by her teammates but also her opponents. Her performance truly embodied the spirit of social netball.

As we look forward to the tenth week, everyone is excited for another evening of friendly social netball. The upcoming week promises to be full of activity, new friendships, and further developing netball skills in a supportive environment.
