As the sun set on Oakengates Leisure Centre for the sixth week of the season, our players laced up their trainers, smiling and laughing as they warmed up for another fantastic evening of friendly social netball. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable, with players of all experience levels mixing seamlessly, and the spirit of camaraderie was evident from the first whistle. This was an evening where everyone was a winner, regardless of the score.

Our first match of the night saw Nets Get Physical and Wrekin Warriors come together on the court. In a game full of energy, Nets Get Physical finished with a score of 18-3. What stood out, however, was the teams' commitment and sportsmanship, both sides lauding each other's efforts and applauding the superb teamwork on display.

Hoop Hustlers and Swift Shooters took to the court next and demonstrated a masterclass in positive energy. The final score was 9-3 to the Hustlers, but the true highlight was the spirit in which the game was played. Every pass, every goal, every interaction was met with cheers and encouragement from both teams.

Next up, She's A Keeper and Spice Goals took the spotlight. The game concluded 7-5 in favour of She's A Keeper, but the score was secondary to the enjoyment shared by both teams. Their positive energy was infectious, with both teams leaving the court with bright smiles.

Just Wing It and Love At First Pass rounded off the evening. The game concluded with a score of 15-3 in favour of Just Wing It. What was impressive, though, was the sheer enjoyment evident on everyone's faces. The spirit of the game was alive and well, leaving no doubt about why everyone loves our social netball evenings.

The evening would not have been complete without a special mention for our Most Valued Player of the week - Sonia Clemson from Nets Get Physical. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her movement around the court was a joy to watch. Her positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, embodying the very essence of what our social netball evenings are all about.

As we look forward to Week 7, we're excited for another evening of friendly social netball. This is more than just a game – it’s about keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment. So, bring on next week - we can't wait to see you there!
