What a delightful evening it was at the Oakengates Leisure Centre on Tuesday! It marked the 14th week of our friendly social netball season. The centre was abuzz with a welcoming atmosphere, and players of all experience levels engaged in good-hearted competition, demonstrating their love for the sport.

The first match of the lovely evening saw a friendly game between She's A Keeper and Wrekin Warriors. The teams displayed a high level of commitment and sportsmanship. Each goal was met with applause and encouragement from both sides. Wrekin Warriors finished the game with a score of 18-12. A truly enjoyable game played in great spirit!

Next up, Spice Goals took on the Swift Shooters. Both teams were brimming with positive energy. Swift Shooters concluded the match with a score of 21-3, but the Spice Goals didn't let the score diminish their enthusiasm. Their teamwork and positive spirit were commendable.

The game between Just Wing It and Hoop Hustlers was a testament to the power of perseverance. Just Wing It saw the game through with a score of 12-8, but it was a well-played game by both teams, characterized by laughter, camaraderie, and a shared love for the sport.

Lastly, we had Love At First Pass playing Nets Get Physical. The match ended with a score of 24-1 in favor of Nets Get Physical. But, both teams exhibited the epitome of sportsmanship and respect throughout the match.

A special mention goes to our Most Valued Player of the week, Louise Bradley, from Love At First Pass. Louise’s enthusiasm, movement around the court, and positive contribution were greatly appreciated by teammates and opponents alike. Her great spirit was a shining example of the friendly competition we encourage in our social netball evenings.

As we bid farewell to Week 14, we look forward to another fun-filled evening next week. Week 15 promises more of the same friendly competition, keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment.

As the final week of the season approaches, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has taken part. We’ve seen some great netball, made some wonderful friends, and created cherished memories. A big shout out to Nets Get Physical and all the teams in the Premier League group for their continued participation throughout the season. We look forward to seeing you all back on the court for the final week of friendly social netball!
