Play in the Charlbury Wednesday Social Netball League

A delightful evening of social netball graced the Charlbury Community Centre for Week 10 of the ongoing season. The atmosphere was jovial and welcoming, with players of all skills and experience levels coming together for a fantastic night of netball.

In the first match of the evening, Ball Saints and Attackley demonstrated amazing teamwork and a commitment to the game that was truly inspiring to watch. Attackley finished the game with a score of 19-2, their positive energy resonating throughout the court. Despite the numbers, Ball Saints exhibited exceptional sportsmanship and a never-give-up attitude that’s the heart of social netball.

Charlbury Shooters and Sky Shooters were next to take the court, and they certainly did not disappoint. Even with Charlbury Shooters ending the game with a score of 22-2, the game was played in great spirit. Sky Shooters played with a zest for the game that was infectious and their sense of enjoyment was palpable.

Netchicks and Ramsden Rockers brought the evening to a close with a final score of 14-9 in favor of Netchicks. Their camaraderie and mutual respect elevated the game, proving that netball is more than just winning. It’s about the friends you make along the way and the lessons you learn on court.

A special mention must be made for the Most Valued Player of the week, Gabriella Barnes from Pocket Rockets. Her enthusiasm and constant movement throughout the court stood out noticeably. Her positive contribution was not only appreciated by her team, but also the opposing team, marking the spirit of social netball.

As we look forward to Week 11, we anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. The community centre is not just a place to keep active and meet new people, but also a space to develop your netball skills in a supportive environment.
