The Charlbury Community Centre was buzzing with excitement and camaraderie for Week 8 of the social netball season. With an inviting atmosphere, players of varying experience levels came together for an evening of spirited games, demonstrating a shared love for netball.

The first match of the evening saw Pocket Rockets playing against Sky Shooters. With a final score of 18-14, Pocket Rockets started the evening on a high note. Despite the score, both teams exhibited great sportsmanship, enjoying the game in the true spirit of netball.

Up next, Netchicks and Ball Saints took the court. In a close match, Ball Saints ended the game with a slight lead, scoring 8-7. Both teams showed admirable resolve, commitment, and most importantly, enjoyment in the game they played. Regardless of the scoreline, the energy on the court was infectious, contributing to the overall warmth of the evening.

The final match of the evening saw Charlbury Shooters square off against Attackley. The teams finished the game in a thrilling tie of 10-10. A testament to their tireless commitment and sportsmanship, both teams put on an exhilarating display of teamwork and positivity. The air was charged with excitement as each side cheered their teammates on, demonstrating the spirit of friendly competition that defines our social netball evenings.

A special mention goes to Jo Thomas from Attackley, who was recognized as the Most Valued Player of the week. Jo's enthusiasm, speed and movement around the court were admired by both teammates and opponents alike. Her positive contribution to the game did not go unnoticed, setting an example for all players.

As we look forward to Week 9, we can't wait for another evening of friendly social netball. This has been a fantastic way for our community to keep active, meet new people, and develop their netball skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. We anticipate another great evening of friendly matches, camaraderie and most importantly, a love for the game. Looking forward to seeing everyone back on the court next week!
