A delightful evening of camaraderie and sportsmanship was on display at Charlbury Community Centre this past Wednesday. The Centre buzzed with energy as Week 6 of social netball welcomed players of all experience levels. The atmosphere was positively warm, fostering a feeling of community spirit, and making it yet another enjoyable night of netball.
The evening started off with an exciting match between Netchicks and Attackley. Demonstrating a fantastic spirit of camaraderie and teamwork, Netchicks and Attackley embraced the game with enthusiasm. The final score was Netchicks 7 - 26 Attackley, reflecting a game played in great spirit and sportsmanship. Both teams showcased immense commitment and positive energy.
Next, Pocket Rockets and Charlbury Shooters took the court. They engaged in a spirited match that embodied the essence of social netball. Pocket Rockets finished the game with a score of 14-6. The game was brimming with positive energy and a mutual respect for the sport and each other.
Lastly, Ramsden Rockers and Sky Shooters shared a friendly match that ended in a tie, 12-12. The game was a testament to their teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship.
A special mention goes out to the Most Valued Player of the week, Leanne Hornsby from Netchicks. Her enthusiasm, swift movement around the court and positive contribution were acknowledged and appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
With Week 6 behind us, we eagerly look forward to the next evening of social netball in Week 7. This is a wonderful opportunity to keep active, meet new people, and develop netball skills in a supportive environment.
