Charlbury Wednesday Social Netball news 2026-06-17

The Charlbury Wednesday Netball had another enjoyable evening of social netball. The atmosphere was welcoming, encompassing players of all experience levels who contributed to a delightful night of netball in a true spirit of camaraderie and shared passion for the game.

Pocket Rockets started the evening with a 18-6 win over Charlbury Shooters. Both teams showed great commitment on court, with Pocket Rockets continuing their great start to the season with another confident performance.

Next up, Attackley took on Netchix. The game was a display of sportsmanship, positive energy, and a sense of unity that made it a joy to watch with Attackley taking the win 17-8.

Sky Shooters and Ramsden Rockers played out one of the closest games of the evening, with Sky Shooters taking the win 13-9. It was an evenly matched contest, with both teams producing some excellent passages of play but it was Sky Shooters that managed to take the win in the end.

A special congratulations goes to Poppy Lewis-Rippington of Charlbury Shooters, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Poppy delivered an excellent performance and made a significant contribution to her team's success, earning well-deserved recognition from players and spectators alike.

As we look ahead to Week 3, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. We welcome players getting back into netball, and encourage everyone to join us in keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment.
