Week 9 of the Charlbury Wednesday Netball brought another evening of great energy and impressive teamwork, with teams putting on some fantastic performances for everyone watching.
Attackley enjoyed a strong game against Ramsden Rockers, taking a 26–3 win. The Rockers showed real determination throughout, but Attackley’s defence and flow on court helped them build a confident lead and see the match through.
The Pocket Rockets also had a successful outing, securing a 26–3 victory over Ball Saints. The Saints kept battling and showed plenty of spirit, while the Rockets demonstrated great consistency across both attack and defence.
One of the standout fixtures of the evening was the match between Charlbury Shooters and Netchicks. In a closely contested and entertaining game, the Shooters came away with a well-earned 20–12 win.
Player of the week goes to Megan Blackmore-Sly of Charlbury Shooters, whose skill and movement made a big impact. Her performance played an important role in her team’s success and continues to set a great example on court.
With plenty of positives to take from this week’s matches, all teams will be looking ahead with enthusiasm as the season continues. It’s shaping up to be an exciting competition—bring on next week!
