In the heart of the sports world, the Charlbury Wednesday 7 a side Netball league kicked off its season in exhilarating fashion. 

Ball Saints clashed with Pocket Rockets in a fast-paced game that ended with the Rockets blasting past the Saints with a 15-9 victory. The Rockets showcased brilliant attacking skills and their defence was impenetrable, leaving the Saints to reflect on their gameplay.

Equally captivating was the match between Charlbury Shooters and Shoot for the Stars, with the latter team living up to their name with a 12-3 victory. Their relentless attack and cohesive defence left the Shooters with limited scoring opportunities.

However, the highlight of the night was the Sky Shooters' impressive 20-0 win over Team TackWoo. Despite the loss, Team TackWoo's Nancy Seymour stood out in the league, bagging the title of the Most Valued Player of the week. Seymour's agility, precision, and determination were undeniable, reflecting a true sports spirit.

As the season started with this high adrenaline rush, the top scorers for the division were Sky Shooters, setting a high bar for the rest of the teams.

Each team will need to analyze their performance, strategize, and come back stronger in the following weeks. And as the season unfolds, we look forward to more fiery games, impressive plays, and perhaps, some surprise victories.
