Play in the Cannock Sunday You Play Netball league

As the sun set on Cannock Chase High School this past weekend, Week 8 of the social netball season found the courts abuzz with friendly competition, laughter, and camaraderie. The welcoming atmosphere was infectious, inviting players of all experience levels to take part, fostering a sense of community that embodies the spirit of the sport.

The first match of the evening saw the Ace Of Chase taking on the Pocket Rockets. The Rockets finished the evening with a score of 26 to the Ace Of Chase's 9. Despite the score, both teams demonstrated incredible teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship. Their positive energy was a testament to the spirit of social netball.

The evening continued with the Cannock Comets facing off against the Cannock Forests. The Comets rounded off the game with a score of 15, with the Cannock Forests following closely with a commendable score of 10. Both teams illuminated the courts with their determination, reinforcing the values of discipline and fair play.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of the Most Valued Player of the week, Liz Lloyd Martin from Pocket Rockets. With enthusiasm that knew no bounds, her vitality and movement around the court were unmistakable. Her positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, making her a true embodiment of the spirit of social netball.

As we look ahead to Week 9, we anticipate another wonderful evening of friendly social netball. We cherish these nights of moving, laughing, and connecting with new friends while developing our netball skills in a supportive and fun environment. The emphasis is not on winning, but on participation, exercising, and fostering a love for the sport.
