Play in the Cannock Sunday You Play Netball league

The social netball season has officially launched with an evening full of enthusiasm, camaraderie, and some superb netball at Cannock Chase High School. Amid a welcoming atmosphere, Week 1 of the season saw players of varying experience levels coming together to enjoy a fantastic night of netball, reconnecting with the sport and each other.

The first game of the evening brought together the Pocket Rockets and Ace Of Chase. The match concluded with the Pocket Rockets adding 15 points to the scoreboard and Ace Of Chase finishing closely behind with 12. The game was played in great spirit, with both teams demonstrating a high level of commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The second match saw the Chase Chicks and Cannock Chasers take to the court. The Chase Chicks finished the game with a score of 28 while the Cannock Chasers added 4 points. The energy was high throughout the game, and although the scores may have differed, both teams brought an enjoyable and enthusiastic game with a wonderful display of positivity.

In the final game of the evening, Cannock Forests faced Cannock Comets. The Comets ended the game with a score of 15, while the Forests were a close finish behind with 14. This was a game filled with friendly competition, remarkable teamwork, and excellent sportsmanship.

A special mention goes to the Most Valued Player of the week, Liz Lloyd Martin from Pocket Rockets. Her infectious enthusiasm, consistent movement around the court, and positive contribution were highly appreciated by both teammates and opponents alike.

As we look forward to Week 2, we can expect another evening filled with friendly social netball. This is a great opportunity for keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment. Let’s keep the netball spirit alive and enjoy getting back into the game. Remember, it’s not about winning or losing; it's about participation, having fun, and embracing the spirit of the game.
