Play in the Cannock Sunday You Play Netball league

Last Sunday evening marked Week 9 of a friendly and fun-filled season of social netball at Cannock Chase High School. The welcoming atmosphere buzzed with excitement as players of all experience levels geared up for an entertaining night of netball in the Premier League group. Each game was rich with commitment, sportsmanship, and positive energy, truly capturing the essence of what our social netball nights are all about.

The first game saw the Cannock Comets and Ace Of Chase take to the court. Comets finished the game with a score of 13-5. Both teams showcased fantastic teamwork, with players supporting each other throughout the game, staying committed until the final whistle and playing in great spirit. The energy on the court was vibrant and positive, making it an enjoyable game for all to watch.

Next up were Cannock Forests and Cannock Chasers. Forests ended the game with a score of 19-4. Despite the score, both teams played with an infectious enthusiasm and sportsmanship that encapsulated the spirit of the evening. Their mutual respect and camaraderie were inspiring, leading to an engaging and enjoyable game.

The final game of the evening was between Dream Team and Pocket Rockets. Pocket Rockets wrapped up with a score of 21-4. Their high spirits and determination were a highlight, illustrating the power of netball in building friendships, fostering teamwork, and celebrating the love of the game.

A special mention goes to Summer Macgregor from Cannock Forests, our Most Valued Player of the week. Summer’s excellent movement around the court, coupled with her enthusiasm, had a significant positive impact on her team's performance. Both teammates and opponents appreciated her contribution, making her a stand-out player of the week.

Looking ahead, we can't wait for Week 10 and another evening of friendly social netball. It's not just about keeping active; it's about meeting new people, developing your netball skills, and above all, having fun!
