Play in the Burntwood Sunday you play netball league

In the heart of the community at Burntwood Leisure Centre, Week 12 of the season brought another delightful evening of social netball. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable as players of all experience levels came together to share in the joy of the game, demonstrating that netball truly is a sport for all.

First up on court were A Little Rusty and Shoot For It, who put on a brilliant display of teamwork. The game ended with Shoot For It slightly ahead at 12-10. Despite the close score, it was the shared laughs and bursts of encouragement that truly highlighted the match.

Spice Goals and Purple Panthers were next. Spice Goals finished the game 15-12, but the result was secondary to the sportsmanship on show. Both teams played with a positive energy and commitment that encapsulated what social netball is all about.

Bluebirds and Nets Go also played a spirited match. Nets Go led the score at 40-11, but it was the ongoing encouragement and high-five exchanges that really defined the game.

Burntwood 7's and Nether Belles followed, with a score of 30-9 in favour of Burntwood 7's. Throughout the match, both teams demonstrated exceptional camaraderie and a great love for the game.

The final match of the evening was between Flaming Divas and Goal Diggers. Goal Diggers ended the game 25-12, but what really stood out was the friendly banter and the unmistakable spirit of togetherness.

A special mention goes out to Most Valued Player, Chantelle Senekal from the Purple Panthers. Chantelle’s enthusiasm and movement around the court, coupled with her positive contribution to the game, was appreciated by both teammates and opponents. Her sportsmanship truly embodies the spirit of social netball.

Looking ahead, we cannot wait for the next evening of friendly social netball in Week 13. It's not just about keeping active; it's about meeting new people, developing your netball skills, and most importantly, having fun in a supportive environment. After all, at the end of the day, it's the friendships, not the scores, that make our social netball evenings so special. See you on the court!
