Netball fans were treated to some high-octane action during Week 4 of the Burntwood Sunday Netball League. Teams from the Premier League and Division 1 divisions took to the court and produced some thrilling matches that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
In the Premier League, Nets Go put on an extraordinary performance, defeating Nether Belles with a solid 33-14 victory. The team showcased their exceptional defensive skills and seamless co-ordination that left the Nether Belles chasing shadows. In another match from the same division, Burntwood 7's triumphed over Flaming Divas, securing a decisive 24-13 win.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Purple Panthers roared to victory against A Little Rusty, with the scoreboard reading an impressive 19-4 at the end of the match. In another heart-stopping encounter, Bluebirds edged out Destructive Divas by a solitary point, with the final score being 11-10.
The highlight of the week, however, was the standout performance by Anna Sykes of the Goal Diggers. She was named the Most Valued Player of the Week, an accolade that bears testimony to her dazzling skills and unflinching determination on the court. Her quick footwork, accurate passes, and precise shooting were a delight to watch.
The top scorers for the week in the Premier League were Nets Go, and in Division 1, the honor went to Purple Panthers. These teams will undoubtedly be the ones to watch as we head into an exciting Week 5 of the Burntwood Sunday Netball League.
