Thrilling Week 2 of the Burntwood Sunday Netball League

It was an action-packed second week at the Burntwood Sunday Netball League. The adrenaline-pumping contests took place across two divisions - the Premier League and Division 1. Players exhibited a high level of sophistication, skill and team spirit, as they battled it out on the court for supremacy.

In the Premier League, Goal Diggers faced a tough loss against Burntwood 7's, ending with a score of 15-28. Burntwood 7’s proved their mettle, demonstrating impressive team work and strategy, paving their way for a dominant victory. Meanwhile, the game between Flaming Divas and Nets Go ended in a landslide victory for Nets Go, with the scoreline standing at 25-3.

Meanwhile, Division 1 too was swarming with intense competition. The match between the Bluebirds and Spice Goals was a nail-biting encounter, ending with a 14-7 win for Spice Goals. Displaying a commendable contest, Destructive Divas and A Little Rusty played a thrilling match, eventually ending with A Little Rusty taking the lead by 19-12.

This week's league also recognized some incredible individual talent. Shannon Lines from the Bluebirds was declared the most valued player of the week. Shannon's exceptional performance on the court, combined with her remarkable sportsmanship, made her the standout player of the week.

As we come to a close of week 2, Burntwood 7's and Nets Go lead the points table in Premier League, while in Division 1, Spice Goals and A Little Rusty have surged ahead. But the season is still young, and there's plenty of Netball action yet to come.
