As a reminder to all teams & players we are here to enjoy playing netball and everyone should feel safe on court. If any player is over stepping the mark and playing dangerously or endangering the safety of others they will be stopped from playing in the future. This also includes any verbal attacks on another player or one of our umpires.
In a series of thrilling showdowns, the Burntwood Sunday 7-a-side Netball League marked its eighth week of fierce competition last night. As the season nears its end with only two weeks left, the teams displayed relentless performances, igniting the spirit of the league and securing their places for the next season.
In the Premier League, Nets Go overcame A Little Rusty with a wide score margin of 19-8, demonstrating their dominance and precision. Nether Belles, with a consistent performance, defeated Spice Goals 17-12, proving they are a force to be reckoned with in the league. However, the match of the night undoubtedly went to All Rounders and Burntwood 7's, where All Rounders clinched a nail-biting victory, 24-21.
Over in Division 1, the matches were equally thrilling. Purple Panthers and Bluebirds delivered a riveting game that ended in a narrow victory for the Panthers with a scoreline of 10-9. In another match, Goal Diggers showcased their prowess with a 21-9 victory over Rogue Angels. Lastly, Flaming Divas triumphed over Destructive Divas 25-14, making a strong statement in the race towards the season finale.
With limited time left in the season, it is clear that every goal counts. The top scorers for each division have solidified their standings, with Nets Go leading in the Premier League and Flaming Divas dominating Division 1.
