In the pulsating spectacle that is the Burntwood Sunday 7-a-side Netball League, week 3 did not disappoint. The Premier League and Division 1 matches were full of passion, energy and skill, resulting in some thrilling encounters.
In the Premier League, Nets Go faced A Little Rusty, turning in a solid performance that saw them secure a 18-11 victory. The fierce competition continued as Nether Belles locked horns with Spice Goals, with the former emerging victorious with a 19-12 win. The division's most nail-biting match saw Burntwood 7's pitted against All Rounders. In a match that kept spectators on the edges of their seats, All Rounders clinched a thrilling 23-19 victory.
Over in Division 1, Purple Panthers clashed with Bluebirds in a tight match, with Bluebirds swooping to a 13-10 win. Goal Diggers demonstrated their prowess on the court with a commanding 24-9 victory over Rogue Angels, much to the delight of their supporters.
The standout player for the week was Amelia Townsend from Nether Belles. Her incredible skill, agility, and game sense saw her awarded the coveted Most Valued Player accolade. In the Premier League, the top scorer was Nets Go, while in Division 1, the honour went to Goal Diggers.
