In an electrifying final week of the Burntwood Sunday 7-a-side Netball league, teams across two divisions vied for the top spot on leaderboard, showcasing their skill and athleticism in a series of thrilling matches.
The League saw Nets Go emerging victorious, tallying an impressive 33 points, thanks to their 16 wins across the season. Their final match against A Little Rusty was a masterstroke, ending in a bold 34-8 victory. However, it was Nether Belles's spectacular performance against Purple Panthers, with a scoreline of 29-4, that stole the limelight. Megan Shirley, the star player from Nether Belles, was named the league’s most valued player, demonstrating her impeccable skills and agility on the court.
Spice Goals also made a notable mark in the league, edging out Goal Diggers in a nail-biting match that ended 20-17 in their favour. On the other hand, Flaming Divas overcame Bluebirds with a decent score of 22-13, adding a significant win to their resume. The league also witnessed Burntwood 7's dominating Shoot For It, ending the game with a 31-4 victory.
The Division 2 results will be eagerly awaited as teams continue to fight for the top spot.
