Fantastic Netball on Show in Week 6 of the Burntwood Sunday Netball League

Week 6 of the Burntwood Sunday Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of competitive and friendly netball, with all teams showing great commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the night.

A Little Rusty and Burntwood 7's got the evening underway with an entertaining match. Both teams worked hard across the court, displaying some excellent passing moves and determined defending. It was a game played in great spirit, with plenty of positive moments for both sides.

Goal Diggers continued their strong run of form with another impressive team performance against Spice Goals. Their movement, communication, and attacking play were evident throughout the match, while Spice Goals battled hard and never stopped working for each other.

The Nether Belles once again showed why they are one of the teams to watch this season. Their excellent teamwork, sharp passing, and confidence on court helped them put together a standout performance. They played with great energy from start to finish and were rewarded for their efforts with another strong display.

Nets Go and Purple Panthers also provided plenty of excitement in a closely contested encounter. Both teams showed determination and resilience, competing for every ball and producing some excellent passages of play. The match highlighted the competitive nature of the league and the continued improvement being shown by teams week after week.

A special congratulations goes to Elizabeth Tolmie of Nether Belles, who was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Elizabeth's outstanding performance, work rate, and positive contribution to her team made her a deserving recipient of the award.

As the season continues to gather momentum, it is fantastic to see the enthusiasm, encouragement, and camaraderie shared by all teams. Each week brings new challenges and exciting matchups, and Week 6 was another great example of the quality of netball being played across the league.

With Week 7 just around the corner, players and supporters will be looking forward to another evening of enjoyable competition, great teamwork, and plenty of memorable moments on court.
