Week 4 of the Burntwood Sunday Netball League delivered plenty of excitement, with some fantastic matches and impressive individual performances across the division.
The closest game of the week saw A Little Rusty just edge out Flaming Divas in a thrilling 13-12 victory. It was a closely fought contest from start to finish, with both teams battling hard until the final whistle.
Nether Belles produced a strong performance to secure a 16-6 win over Bluebirds. Despite the result, Bluebirds' Millie Williams stood out with an excellent display and was deservedly named Most Valuable Player of the Week for her determination and skill throughout the match.
Nets Go were in outstanding form as they recorded the highest score of the week, defeating Spice Goals 31-10 in an impressive attacking display.
Purple Panthers also enjoyed a successful outing, putting in a confident team performance to overcome Shoot For It 17-4.
We would also like to remind everyone of the importance of respecting the umpires and their decisions. Umpires play a vital role in ensuring matches are played fairly and safely, and without them the league could not operate. While netball can be competitive and emotions can run high, all decisions made by the umpire are final and should be accepted in the spirit of the game. Maintaining a positive and respectful environment helps ensure everyone enjoys their Sunday netball experience.
With every week bringing competitive matches and memorable moments, the Burntwood Sunday Netball League season is shaping up brilliantly. As teams continue to battle for points and positions, there's plenty more action and excitement still to come
