As we ventured into Week 2 of the season, the Centre continued to foster an environment where participants of all experience levels could indulge in some friendly competition. The emphasis was on fun, community and getting active, leaving the players with smiles as bright as their high-vis bibs.
First on court were the Fireflies and the All Stars. The Fireflies, known for their radiant energy, ended the match with a score of 11-9. Both teams showcased impressive teamwork and commitment, embodying the spirit of friendly social netball. There was a palpable sense of enjoyment from both teams, which made the game even more delightful to watch.
The second match of the evening was between the Groby Girls and the Lionesses, which ended with a score of 18-2. Despite the scoreboard, the focus of the evening was not on who won or lost, but rather the positive energy that radiated from both teams. A special mention goes to Jilna Sikotra from All Stars who was named the Most Valued Player of the week.
