Kidderminster Tuesday You Play Netball League

Week 1 of the Kidderminster Tuesday You Play Netball League got underway at Baxter College, with teams taking to the court for the start of the new season. It was a busy evening of social netball, with some good performances and plenty of effort from all the teams involved.

The first game saw Shooting Stars take on Kiss My Pass. Both teams worked hard from the start, with Kiss My Pass taking the win 11-4. Shooting Stars continued to compete throughout the game, while Kiss My Pass were able to create and convert more opportunities.

Next up were Little Ladies and Pink Panthers. Little Ladies had a strong game and finished with a 22-5 victory. Pink Panthers continued to work hard throughout the match, with both teams showing good effort and commitment on court.

The New Team then faced Goal Diggers in the third game of the evening. Goal Diggers finished with a 20-6 win after a solid performance. The New Team kept working throughout the game and continued to challenge for every ball.

The final game saw On The Ball play against Wingin It. This was another competitive match, with On The Ball taking the win 23-14. Both teams showed good teamwork and worked hard across the court throughout the game.

A special mention goes to Vanessa Ndelemani from Wingin It, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Vanessa was recognised for her movement around the court, effort and contribution to her team during the game.

With Week 1 now complete, the teams can look forward to the next round of fixtures. The league is designed to provide a fun and friendly way to get back into netball, keep active and enjoy playing each week, whether players are returning to the sport or have less experience.

Well done to all the teams who took part in the opening week. We look forward to seeing everyone back at Baxter College for Week 2 and another evening of social netball.
