On a delightful Wednesday evening, players from all walks of life and varying experience levels gathered at WV Active Aldersley to enjoy Week 16 of our friendly social netball season. The welcoming atmosphere was almost tangible as both seasoned players and newcomers alike prepared for a night filled with camaraderie, sportsmanship, and, of course, the thrill of the game.

In the Division 1 group, Avengers and ONYX took to the court with a fantastic display of teamwork and positivity. After an engaging game played in the best spirit, Avengers tipped their hats to ONYX, finishing with a score of 11-5. The Violet Vixens and Pattingham Diamonds match was a testament to the commitment and energy each player brought to the netball court, culminating in a score of 14-18 in favor of Pattingham Diamonds. Meanwhile, the Wednesday Warriors and GoalDiggers provided an exciting spectacle, concluding their game with a balanced score of 6-6, reflecting the evenly matched skill and sportsmanship of both teams.

Over in the Division 2 group, Go Net It and Net Into The Groove showed an impressive display of collaboration and mutual respect. with Go Net It celebrating a 12-2 finish. The Rebounders and Net Setters game was an enthusiastic display of social netball, ending with an 11-5 score for the Rebounders. Shoot For It and Hoops I Did It Again, along with Take A Shot and Hoop Hustlers, as well as Wildcats and Hoop For The Best, also played enjoyable games, further highlighting the positive atmosphere of the evening.

A special mention goes to Jenny Parkes from Violet Vixens, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Jenny's energetic movement around the court, coupled with her contagious enthusiasm, was a notable contribution to her team and appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

As we look ahead to Week 17, we encourage anyone interested to come along and experience the friendly, active environment of social netball. With only two weeks of matches left this season, it's an excellent opportunity to meet new people, develop your netball skills, and enjoy the supportive atmosphere that our community club brings. As always, our focus remains on the joy of the game rather than the scoreboard, and we can't wait to see you on the court next week for another enjoyable evening of social netball at WV Active Aldersley.
