Play in the Wolverhampton Wednesday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

Last Wednesday, the WV Active Aldersley sports centre was buzzing with excitement as Week 13 of our social netball season unfolded. The evening was filled with laughter, camaraderie and a fantastic display of netball from teams across our two divisions. Regardless of experience, each player stepped onto the court with enthusiasm, making it a truly enjoyable evening for all involved.

In Division 1, Dancing With Wolves and Avengers took to the court for a riveting match. Each team demonstrated a tremendous team spirit as they navigated the game, which culminated in a score of 5-0 in favour of Dancing With Wolves. Pattingham Diamonds and Winging It also put on a great display of netball with a final score of 13-9. Each team's passion for the sport was evident in their commitment and sportsmanship throughout the game. ONYX and Wildflowers played with a show of positive energy that was infectious, ending the game on a 12-4 scoreline. The Violet Vixens and Wednesday Warriors game was a showcase of netball at its most fun, ending in a score of 21-6 to Violet Vixens.

In Division 2, Hoops I Did It Again and Hoop For The Best had a thrilling game that concluded at 28-2. Their sportsmanship and positive attitudes were commendable. Net Setters and Wildcats displayed some fabulous netballing skills, ending their game with a score of 12-8. Lastly, Rebounders and Shoot For It had a tight, enjoyable game that ended with a score of 10-11.

A special mention goes to Emily Rogers from Wildflowers, our Most Valued Player this week. Emily's energetic movement around the court and overall positive contribution were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike. Her enthusiasm was truly infectious, and she embodied the spirit of our social netball evenings.

As we look ahead to Week 14, we are excited for another evening of friendly social netball. Whether you're looking to keep active, meet new people, or develop your netball skills in a supportive environment, we hope to see you there. At WV Active Aldersley, the focus is on the joy of playing and celebrating the sport we all love. Our evenings are about friendship, fitness, and fun. We can't wait to see what next week brings!
