Week 8 of the Wolverhampton Wednesday Netball League delivered another great evening of action, with teams across two divisions enjoying competitive games, strong teamwork, and plenty of exciting moments on court.

In Division 1, Avengers put in a confident and composed performance against Winging It, showing great control and teamwork throughout the match. Codsall Spices and Wildflowers treated spectators to a closely fought and entertaining game, with Wildflowers just edging ahead after a tense battle. Wednesday Warriors produced a strong display against Dancing With Wolves, while Violet Vixens impressed with a well-earned win over Shoot Happens, highlighting just how competitive this division continues to be.

Division 2 was just as lively, with Net Setters delivering an excellent defensive performance against Shoot For It 2.0. Wildcats and Hoop For The Best were involved in a tight and hard-fought contest, while Rebounders stood out with a dominant display built on sharp attacking play. Hoops I Did It Again also put in a solid performance against Go Net It, and GoalDiggers showed great determination to come away with a narrow win over Nets Get Started.

A special mention goes to Chelsea Arnold of Hoop Hustlers, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Despite a tough night for her team, Chelsea’s skill, effort, and understanding of the game really stood out.

Avengers led the way in Division 1 with an impressive attacking performance, while Rebounders set the standard in Division 2 with a standout team display.

With Week 9 just around the corner, the Wolverhampton Wednesday league continues to build momentum. Players and spectators can look forward to more fun, competitive netball and plenty of memorable moments.
