In Division 1, Shoot Happens showed their mettle with a triumphant 17-5 victory over Dancing With Wolves. They demonstrated excellent teamwork and strategic masterclass that left the Wolves with little room to maneuver. Violet Vixens also had their time to shine, as they bested the Codsall Spices with a score of 21-13, exhibiting an exhilarating offensive performance.
Over in Division 2, the Flaming Divas and Hoops I Did It Again ended in a thrilling draw, 7-7 - a testament to the fierce competition in the league. Hoop Hustlers, despite their valiant efforts, succumbed to the dominant Nets And The City with a score of 22-6. But the night belonged to Hoop For The Best, who took down Nets Get Started 18-5, while Wildcats fell short to the Rebounders, trailing 13-9.
The player of the week, however, was the resolute Danielle Hunt from the Hoop Hustlers. Despite her team's loss, Hunt exemplified grit and determination on the court, earning the title of the most valued player of the week.
As the league progresses, spectators are looking forward to more spectacular performances from these talented teams. The top scorers from each division, Shoot Happens for Division 1 and Hoop For The Best for Division 2, are anticipated to continue their winning streaks. Yet, as the Wolverhampton Wednesday Netball league has shown us, victory can swing in any direction.
