A Great Start Continues in the Wolverhampton Wednesday Netball League

Week two of the season brought another fun and energetic evening of netball in Wolverhampton, with plenty of great moments across both divisions.

In Division 1, teams really hit their stride, showing fantastic teamwork and determination throughout the night. Avengers put in a strong performance against Pattingham Diamonds, while Shoot Happens had a great game against GoalDiggers. Violet Vixens impressed with a standout display against Dancing With Wolves, and Codsall Spices and Wednesday Warriors played out a closely fought match that kept everyone watching right to the end. Winging It also had a solid run out against Wildflowers in another competitive game.

Over in Division 2, the matches were just as exciting. Net Setters and Go Net It played out a very tight contest, while Rebounders showed great form in their game against Hoop Hustlers. Hoop For The Best and Shoot For It battled it out in a determined performance from both sides, and Take A Shot had a good game against Wildcats to round off the evening.

A special shoutout goes to Kellie Pooler from Rebounders, who was named Most Valuable Player this week. Her effort, skill, and positive attitude on court really stood out and made a big impact for her team—well deserved!

It’s been a brilliant start to the season, with lots of energy, encouragement, and friendly competition on display. We’re already looking forward to seeing how things unfold next week—good luck to all the teams!
