The eighth week of the social netball season at Wombourne Leisure Centre was one for the books! The evening was filled with camaraderie, enthusiasm, and a display of superb netball skills that brought community members together in a delightful sporting spirit. Players, from novices to seasoned pros, relished in the warm and inviting atmosphere, creating a beautiful blend of talent and mutual respect on the court.

The first match of the evening saw Netbusters and Dolly Mixtures share an exciting game. Netbusters finished the game with a score of 12-8, not before Dolly Mixtures showcased an admirable level of teamwork and commitment. The game was played in great spirit, with both teams displaying positive energy throughout.

Goal Diggers and Blaze Ballers also put on a spectacular show. Although Blaze Ballers led the game with a score of 15-11, both teams exhibited impressive sportsmanship and a shared love for the game. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and friendly competition.

Phoenix Flyers and Wing-its served us an equally enjoyable game. Final score registered Phoenix Flyers 18, and Wing-its 10. Both teams brought a contagious energy to the court, filling the evening with laughter and high spirits.

The Hotshots and Thunder Thighs wrapped up the evening with an electrifying game. Despite the score favouring Thunder Thighs 21-10, both teams ended the game with wide smiles and high-fives, celebrating yet another evening of fun-filled netball.

This week's Most Valued Player is Emily Crichton from Blaze Ballers. Emily's enthusiasm and movement around the court were truly outstanding. Her positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, making the game enjoyable for all.

As we look forward to Week 9, we're excited for another evening of friendly social netball. Whether it's about keeping active, meeting new people, or developing netball skills, the Wombourne Leisure Centre is the place to be.
