In the heart of Wolverhampton, Wombourne Leisure Centre was aglow with sporting camaraderie as week 6 of the social netball season unfolded. The atmosphere was brimming with enthusiasm and a warm, friendly spirit of inclusivity. Players of all experience levels blended seamlessly on the court, showcasing a beautiful harmony of experienced hands and fresh talent, all savouring a splendid evening of netball.

In the first match of the Premier League group, Phoenix Flyers and Goal Diggers embodied the true essence of teamwork and commitment. Phoenix Flyers finished the game with a score of 16-12, demonstrating admirable sportsmanship, great energy, and an unwavering spirit of the game.

The second match saw Netbusters and Blaze Ballers showcasing their skills on the netball court. Despite the Blaze Ballers finishing the game with a score of 16-11, both teams exhibited a remarkable level of positivity and enjoyment, playing the game in high spirit.

The Hotshots and the Dolly Mixtures took to the court next and delivered an engaging game. The final score stood at 23-18 in favour of the Dolly Mixtures, highlighting the perseverance and dedication of all players involved.

The evening's proceedings concluded with a lively game between Thunder Thighs and Wing-its. With a final score of 23-3 in favour of Thunder Thighs, both teams displayed a commendable level of sportsmanship and great energy throughout the match.

A special mention must be made for Jordan Lloyd from Goal Diggers, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Lloyd's constant movement around the court and infectious enthusiasm greatly contributed to the lively atmosphere. His positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, embodying the spirit of social netball.

As we look forward to Week 7, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. This will again offer an opportunity for keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment. The Wombourne Leisure Centre will once more be the hub of netball camaraderie, fostering enthusiastic participation and a love for the game.
