There was an air of excitement at Wombourne Leisure Centre this past Sunday as players from all walks of life gathered for an evening of social netball. The stage was set for Week 14, a night where camaraderie and sportsmanship were the true winners. From beginners to seasoned players, everyone shared the court in a celebration of the sport we all cherish.

The first match of the night brought the Blaze Ballers and Wing-its together. Teamwork was the name of the game as delicate passes and nimble footwork abounded. The final score read Blaze Ballers finishing with 11 and Wing-its 10. The spirit of the game was truly alive as every player left the court with smiles and laughter.

Next up was Dolly Mixtures facing off against Thunder Thighs. With a final score of 24-11, both teams showed incredible commitment and energy throughout the match. The game was a testament to the power of positive energy and sportsmanship, with every player embracing the true values of netball.

The evening continued with Goal Diggers and The Hotshots. Demonstrating strong teamwork and enthusiasm, both teams finished with Goal Diggers scoring 15 and The Hotshots with 8. Despite the score, players from both teams were full of praise for each other's efforts.

In the final match of the night, Netbusters and Phoenix Flyers played an enjoyable game. The final tally read Phoenix Flyers with 24 and Netbusters with 4. The game perfectly encapsulated the spirit of social netball, with positive vibes and great sportsmanship on display.

A special mention goes to Ellie Capewell of Thunder Thighs. Her enthusiasm, movement around the court, and positive contribution were noticed and appreciated by both teammates and opponents. Ellie truly embodies the spirit of social netball.

As Week 14 of the season draws to a close, we look forward to Week 15 and another evening of friendly social netball. It’s a wonderful opportunity to keep active, meet new friends, and improve your netball skills in a supportive environment.
