Wolverhampton Sunday Netball League – Week 12 Round-Up

Another fantastic evening of social netball took place at Wombourne Leisure Centre on Sunday as teams gathered for Week 12 of the Wolverhampton Sunday Netball League, powered by You Play Netball.

With players of all experience levels taking to the court, the evening was filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of enthusiasm. As the season enters its final stages, every team continued to embrace the social spirit that makes the league such an enjoyable place to play.

Blaze Ballers 15–11 Phoenix Flyers

The opening fixture of the evening saw Blaze Ballers secure a hard-fought 15-11 victory over Phoenix Flyers. Both teams displayed excellent teamwork and determination throughout the match, creating an entertaining contest played in great spirit. The positive energy from players on both sides made for a thoroughly enjoyable start to the evening.

Hotshots 25–9 Netbusters

Hotshots delivered an impressive performance in the second game of the night, recording a 25-9 win against Netbusters. Despite the result, both teams demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and commitment, highlighting the inclusive and supportive nature of social netball.

Dolly Mixtures 17–11 Wing-its

The final game of Week 12 saw Dolly Mixtures take on Wing-its in a lively encounter. Wing-its produced a strong performance, but Dolly Mixtures ultimately emerged victorious with a 17-11 win. The match was played with plenty of enthusiasm and mutual respect, providing a fitting conclusion to another successful evening of netball.

MVP of the Week

Congratulations to Sarah McGloin of Netbusters, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week.

Sarah's enthusiasm, excellent movement around the court, and positive attitude throughout the evening made her a standout performer. Her contribution was recognised and appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, making her a deserving recipient of this week's award.
